The Emerald
Path

Where the vessel meets the fire.

The Emerald Path is a path of alchemy and study. Ecstatically and playfully, we meet the densest material of the emotional body, the grief, the ecstasy, the yearning, the terror, and transmute it into material for liberation. We own our eros & sex, turn towards intimacy with our impermanence, listen to the earth, and channel spirit. Along the way, we master alchemical arts that fuel our creativity and leadership.

• Sex & Eros. The current that pulls one body toward another, and all of life toward more life. We own it rather than manage it, and desire turns from a problem into a doorway, the charge between two poles that, ridden all the way down, dissolves the one clinging to himself.
• Death & Birth. Everything that ends, and everything in us that has to. We turn toward our own impermanence instead of away, and the master teacher waiting there shows its face, severe and tender at once, the door that closes on one life always opening onto the birth of the next.
• Earth. The ground underfoot and the body itself, both older and more awake than the mind that was trained to ignore them. We go down instead of up, listening to the earth, hunting the sacred in blood and dirt and weather, on the old wager that it was never anywhere else.
• Spirit. The long climb toward what was never born and will never die, an exact science of the soul kept roped to the body so it never floats off. We channel spirit on purpose, building the eyes that perceive the inner worlds and the bridge, raised span by span, that crosses to them.
• Initiatory Core. Where every arm ends and the built self burns down to whatever is under it. The death at the center the whole path is raised around, and on its far side the undefended heart, the home all four teachers were leading back to.
