Down into the body. In to the fire. Out to the world.
You came here because something in you is done pretending. Good. The work has three turns, and you will walk all three more than once. Down, into the body and the ground you have been avoiding. In, to the center, where the self you built gets taken apart and something truer is set alight. Out, into a world on fire that needs you unshaken. Down, in, out. A spiral, not a staircase. You walk it again at every depth, until the day you die.
We draw it as a line because a line is something you can stand on at the start. The line is a true door. The country it opens onto is a spiral, and the arms work the same way, so you will be far along one and a beginner in another for years.
Nothing in you transforms until it lands. You come down out of the head you have been hiding in, into the body you have been living above, onto the ground you actually stand on. You learn to hold fire without cracking. Most people reach for transformation before they have even arrived in their own life. We start you on the floor, in the breath, in the dirt.
Enter →Then the fire. Four streams pour toward one center, eros and death and earth and spirit, and each is a road into the same burning. You take the one already pulling at you. Desire, if desire is loud in you. Grief, if something just died. The ground, if you have lost it. The climb, if you are starving for height. Every road ends at the same place, the heart at the center of the cross, where the old self is undone and the true one set alight. We call the cross the Emerald Cross, and the path through it the Emerald Path. You will not need the names. You will feel the heat.
Enter →Then out. The heart that burned at the center will not hoard its warmth. It widens, past your own skin, past the ones you love, past your blood and your people, until it is holding a room, a movement, a civilization coming apart at the seams. Intimacy at the scale of the Earth. You take your stand at the crossroads of civilizations, because the fire in you and the fire the world is dying without are one fire.
