Bound for God.
Power is going to move between two people whether you name it or not.
Kink is what happens when you stop pretending it isn't there and start using it on purpose. Power, surrender, sensation, and restraint, handled with skill and with consent, are one of the fastest routes the body knows past its own defenses. The managing mind cannot stay in charge of an experience it did not design. That is the whole point. Somewhere past the edge of what it can control, the part of you that has been running the show your entire life finally stands down, and the soul gets a word in, the older self the mystics kept pointing at.
The mystics knew this language before the dungeons did. The soul as the one who is taken, God as the one who takes, ravishment as the figure for union, surrender as the only posture that lets the larger thing in. Teresa pierced through, the Sufi undone by the Beloved, the bhakta on the floor. We are not inventing a sacrament here. We are noticing that one was hiding in plain sight, in the place the culture was most sure was only about sex.
The defenses you cannot think your way past, the body will sometimes walk you through.
For people who live in their heads, who manage and arrange and keep themselves a careful distance from their own life, this is medicine. You cannot strategize your way out of a strategy. But you can be bound until strategy becomes impossible, and meet, on the far side of your own control, the part of you that has been waiting to be reached. Surrender of the personality to something larger is the oldest move in every initiation we teach. Kink just makes it physical, and honest about the charge.
