Sacred Medicine

Old doors, held the old way, inside lineage.

Every lasting culture kept a door to the other world, and someone trained to walk you there and back.

The medicines are those doors. We do not treat them as experiences to collect or shortcuts to skip the work. In this school they are sacraments, held inside lineage, opened with preparation and reverence, and crossed alongside people who know the territory. Worked this way, healthy and well held, they belong at the heart of an initiatory path rather than at its edges.

The root lineageIboga & the BwitiThe medicine we are rooted in most deeply, carried by the Bwiti of Gabon, an initiation lineage that has never once gone quiet. Held the old way, under people who earned the right to hold it.
The vineAmazonian LineagesThe plant traditions of the Amazon and the people who keep them. We meet this medicine inside its own culture, its songs and its keepers, rather than pulling it out of the jungle and reducing it to a substance.
The oldest, the nearestThe MushroomThe earth's own medicine, growing out of the ground nearly everywhere humans have lived. The most familiar of them, and still, held with respect, one of the most direct ways the living world has of speaking back.
Softening the armorThe Heart MedicinesThe medicines that loosen the armor a lifetime builds around the heart, until the places shut by fear can be felt, grieved, and let back into love. The real work is learning to stay that open without them.

None of this is about the trip. The medicine opens a door, and almost anyone can be opened. The real question is who is holding the room, how you prepared, and what you do with what you saw once it wears off. We work the way the lineages work, with screening and preparation and long integration, in right relationship with the cultures these come from. Held like that, medicine is one of the deepest doors into the mysteries. Held badly, it is just another high. We are here for the door.
